MHCC ACT represents the interests of the ACT community-managed mental health sector at a strategic and policy level.

This work involves responding to government inquiries and discussion papers, representing the sector on committees and working groups, and promoting the sector and its role to government officials and other stakeholders (including the media).

We use our networks in the ACT community-managed mental health sector as well as the broader mental health and health sectors to ensure we are well-informed about developments in the sector, and to consult regularly with our members and stakeholders about developments and our work.

Through the Consumer and Carer Caucus and our partnership with the ACT consumer and carer peak bodies, MHCC ACT ensures that our work is informed by the views and experiences of people with lived experience as consumers and carers in the ACT.
