ACT Mental Health Sector Update - 28 May 2020

In this edition we start with an acknowledgement of Country and pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians of this land. National Reconciliation Week is on from 27 May to 3 June 2020 - follow the links to see how you can be involved. TheMental Health Month reimbursement grant program applications are open for community based groups to get support for their Mental Health Month events.Mentally Healthier Workplaces provide great online resources such as training and webinars, and both Mental Health Academy and Connect 2020 provide resources around suicide prevention. For those living with a psychosocial disability, Summer Housing and Summer foundation have an online housing tool and webinar on SDA coming up. The Office of Mental Health and Wellbeing have teamed with the ANU to create a youth navigation portal and are seeking feedback in their trial stage. We finish up with some further interest articles that highlight mental health and wellbeing practices in the news.
