COVID-19 Update - ACT Mental Health Sector - 23 March 2020

While there is information about the COVID-19 situation that might be useful to you, MHCC ACT will send it out - all in one place so that you don't need to spend time hunting it down. This is likely to be several times a week for the foreseeable future given the considerable state of flux at the moment. The section on where to get reliable information will stay posted at the end of the newsletter.

Be assured that MHCC ACT is working with stakeholders to advocate for the sector's interests, to stay abreast of developments and support the sector in the best way possible. Community and connection is even more important than it has ever been. The community sector plays such a vital role in supporting the most vulnerable in society - we must optimise our ability to keep doing this. So its important to take some time each day to also look after your own wellbeing.

"Every hand that we don’t shake must become a phone call that we place. Every embrace that we avoid must become a verbal expression of warmth and concern. Every inch and every foot that we physically place between ourselves and another, must become a thought as to how we might be of help to that other, should the need arise." (Rabbi Yosef Kanefsky) During this period MHCC ACT staff will be working from home for at least part of the time. If you need to contact us and there is no answer to the office phone please try emailing admin@mhccact.org.au instead.
